Accounts & Store Access
Why do I need an account to place an order?
Products and pricing can be browsed publicly, but an account is required to purchase. Registration helps us maintain a research-focused platform and records the required research-use acknowledgments.
What happens after I create an account?
Verify your email, then sign in. Once your email is verified, your account can be used to place orders.
Why can’t I place an order?
You must be signed in with a verified account before purchasing. If you recently registered, make sure you completed the email-verification step.
What does “Research Use Only” mean?
Products sold by Direct Research Supply are intended exclusively for laboratory and research purposes and are not intended for human consumption or therapeutic use.
What if I don’t receive my verification email or can’t access my account?
Check your spam/junk folder first. If the message still hasn’t arrived or you’re having trouble signing in, contact us at accounts@directresearchsupply.com.
What information is required to create an account?
You’ll need to provide basic account information, select your researcher type, confirm that you are 18 or older, and acknowledge that products are intended exclusively for research use and are not for human consumption.
Products & Research Use
What are DRS products for?
Direct Research Supply products are offered exclusively for legitimate laboratory and research purposes. They are not intended for human consumption, veterinary use, diagnostic use, therapeutic use, or any other form of personal use.
By purchasing from DRS, customers acknowledge that products will be handled and used only for appropriate research purposes and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Who can purchase from DRS?
Customers must be at least 18 years of age and must purchase products solely for legitimate research purposes.
DRS reserves the right to request additional information regarding a customer’s organization, role, research purpose, or intended application before accepting or fulfilling an order. We also reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders when we have reason to believe a product is being purchased for an inappropriate or prohibited purpose.
Can DRS provide dosing, administration, or human-use instructions?
No. DRS does not provide dosing, administration, reconstitution for personal use, injection instructions, treatment protocols, cycle recommendations, or any other guidance concerning human or veterinary use.
This restriction applies both before and after purchase. Customer service cannot provide individualized recommendations or help determine how much of a product a person or animal should use.
Questions concerning personal use, medical or veterinary treatment, health outcomes, dosing, or administration will not be answered.
Customers who repeatedly request prohibited human or veterinary use guidance, indicate an intent to use products for personal use, or otherwise fail to comply with our Research Use Only requirements may have their orders refused or cancelled and their account suspended or terminated at our discretion.
DRS customer support is limited to appropriate matters such as product identification, available analytical documentation, ordering, payment, fulfillment, and shipping.
Are DRS products approved for human or veterinary use?
No. Products sold by Direct Research Supply are offered as research materials only. Nothing on our website, product packaging, laboratory documentation, or other materials should be interpreted as representing that a product is approved, safe, effective, sterile, or suitable for human or veterinary use.
Testing & Documentation
Are DRS products independently tested?
We believe customers should be able to clearly distinguish between products that have undergone independent analytical testing and products that have not.
Select products are submitted to independent third-party laboratories for analytical testing. Not every product in our catalog has been independently tested by DRS at this time, and we do not represent otherwise.
When independent testing is available for a product, the corresponding laboratory report is provided directly on that product’s listing. We are continually working to expand the number of products for which independent third-party testing is available.
What does DRS test for?
The scope of testing depends on the product and the analytical method used. Laboratory reports may include measurements such as identity, quantity, purity, or other characteristics evaluated by the laboratory.
Customers should review the actual laboratory report associated with a product to determine exactly what was tested rather than assuming that a report covers characteristics that were not analyzed.
Where can I find laboratory reports or COAs?
For products that DRS has independently tested, available laboratory reports are attached directly to the corresponding product listing.
This allows customers to review the available testing information alongside the specific product rather than relying on generalized claims about our catalog.
Does a passing laboratory report mean a product is safe or sterile?
A laboratory report represents the results of the specific analyses performed on the submitted sample.
Unless a report specifically includes a particular analysis, customers should not assume that characteristic was tested. Analytical results should not be interpreted as establishing sterility, safety, efficacy, regulatory approval, or suitability for human or veterinary use.
Ordering & Products
How are products sold?
Products are currently offered in 10-vial research kits unless otherwise specified on the product listing. Individual vials are not currently available, though we plan to offer individual vials in the future.
Do you keep products in stock?
We maintain inventory of the research products displayed as available in our catalog. However, inventory levels can change between the time an order is placed and when it is fulfilled.
If availability changes before fulfillment, order quantities may need to be adjusted or an unavailable item removed from the order. When this occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer before shipment to explain the change and, when applicable, arrange an appropriate adjustment or refund.
While we work to keep inventory information accurate and up to date, an item appearing as available in our catalog does not guarantee availability at the time of fulfillment.
Can I request a product that isn’t listed?
Yes. You may contact DRS regarding an unlisted research product. We may be able to source additional research materials depending on availability.
Sourcing is not guaranteed, and any products offered through DRS remain subject to the same research-use requirements as products in our regular catalog.
Payment
What payment methods does DRS accept?
We currently accept major credit and debit cards through Stripe, including supported Apple Pay and Google Pay payments. Cryptocurrency payments are also available through PayRam.
Is my card information stored by Direct Research Supply?
No. Card payments are processed securely through Stripe. Direct Research Supply does not store your full credit or debit card information on our servers.
Which cryptocurrencies do you accept?
Available cryptocurrency options are shown through PayRam during checkout. Select Cryptocurrency at checkout to view the currently supported networks and payment options.
What is PayRam?
PayRam is the payment-gateway software used by DRS to process cryptocurrency payments.
Unlike a traditional hosted payment processor that receives a customer’s payment on behalf of a merchant, PayRam is self-hosted and self-custodial. The payment infrastructure runs on servers controlled by the merchant, and cryptocurrency payments are settled to wallets controlled by the merchant rather than being held in a PayRam merchant account.
Is PayRam secure?
PayRam is designed around a self-hosted, self-custodial architecture. Customer and transaction information associated with our self-hosted installation is processed through infrastructure controlled by DRS rather than through a conventional hosted merchant account.
Our payment infrastructure uses standard security measures designed to protect payment communications and transaction information.
As with any online payment system, however, no website, server, cryptocurrency network, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Customers should always verify payment details before submitting a cryptocurrency transaction.
How long do cryptocurrency payments take?
After you place an order and select cryptocurrency, PayRam will display “Scanning for Payment” while it watches the blockchain for your transaction.
Once you send payment, the transaction must be detected and confirmed by the applicable blockchain network. This process is automatic. Confirmation times vary depending on the cryptocurrency, network activity, and transaction fees, so your order may continue to show as awaiting payment for a period of time after you have sent the funds.
Please do not send a second payment simply because your order still shows as pending. Once the required blockchain confirmation is received, the payment status will update automatically.
Always send the exact cryptocurrency using the network and payment information displayed on the payment screen.
My cryptocurrency payment has enough confirmations, but my payment/order are still pending. What should I do?
Make sure the amount you send is enough to cover both the order total and any network or wallet fees. Some wallets deduct transaction fees from the amount you enter, which can result in the amount actually received being slightly less than the amount required for your order.
If the payment page shows that your transaction has received the required number of confirmations but does not automatically redirect you back to your account/orders page, your payment may be slightly short.
What to do: Check the amount that was actually received. If it is less than the required payment amount, send the small remaining balance to the same payment address shown on the checkout page. Once the full amount has been received and confirmed, your payment should complete automatically.
To avoid this, always account for any fees charged by your wallet or network when sending payment.
Shipping & Packaging
Where are orders shipped from?
DRS uses separate fulfillment locations for domestic and international orders.
Orders shipping to U.S. addresses are fulfilled exclusively through our U.S. warehouse. Orders shipping to addresses outside the United States are fulfilled through our international warehouse.
This allows us to maintain separate fulfillment processes for domestic and international customers.
How are orders packaged?
Orders are shipped in plain, discreet packaging without DRS branding on the exterior. We do this to respect customer privacy and avoid unnecessarily identifying the nature of an order during transit.
Products inside the shipment are clearly labeled for accurate identification and fulfillment.
How long does domestic shipping take?
Orders shipped to U.S. addresses are fulfilled through our U.S. warehouse and generally arrive within 3–7 business days after shipment.
Delivery times are estimates rather than guarantees. Carrier delays, weather, holidays, address issues, and other circumstances outside our control may affect delivery.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Orders to addresses outside the United States are fulfilled through our international warehouse.
International delivery times vary depending on the destination, carrier, customs processing, and other factors outside the control of DRS. Because of these variables, we do not guarantee a specific delivery timeframe for international orders.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that products they order may legally be imported, possessed, and used for research purposes in their jurisdiction.
How much does shipping cost?
U.S. domestic shipping: $30 flat rate per order. Orders over $350 qualify for free U.S. shipping. (U.S. addresses only.)
International shipping: $80 flat rate per order.
International customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges, or other fees imposed by their destination country.
What happens after I place my order?
After checkout, your order moves through a few steps:
- Payment verification
PayRam scans the blockchain for your payment. Once the transaction receives the required confirmation, your payment is automatically recorded. - Order review
DRS reviews the order and confirms that the order information and required research-use eligibility acknowledgments have been completed. Orders are accepted exclusively for legitimate laboratory and research purposes. - Order confirmation
Once payment and order requirements have been verified, your order is confirmed and submitted for fulfillment. - Warehouse preparation
Our warehouse prepares and packages the order for shipment. - Tracking
Once tracking information becomes available, your order is updated with the tracking number so you can follow the shipment.
What happens if my order is lost in transit?
If your order appears to be lost in transit, contact orders@directresearchsupply.com with your order number. We will review the shipment and tracking information. Any refund, replacement, or other resolution will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

What happens if a shipment encounters a customs issue?
International shipments may be subject to customs review, import requirements, delays, or other actions by authorities in the destination country. Customers are responsible for ensuring that products may lawfully be imported into their jurisdiction. If your shipment encounters an issue, contact orders@directresearchsupply.com with your order number so we can review the circumstances and available options.
Returns & Order Issues
Can products be returned?
Due to the nature of research products, sales are generally final and products generally cannot be returned after shipment.
If an order arrives damaged, contains an incorrect item, or has another fulfillment issue, contact DRS promptly so the situation can be reviewed.
Please see our Refund & Returns Policy for the complete terms applicable to cancellations, damaged shipments, incorrect items, refunds, and other order issues.
